A bout with Fifth Disease...
Just in time for the trip, our rarely ill child has contracted Fifth Disease. Chance are that she contracted this virus from another infected child, but since this virus is only contagious before the rash breaks out we had no idea. The good news is that it seems we are on the down hill side of this illness. She is no longer contagious and her rash seems to be gone as well. Once you have had Fifth Disease it is unlikely you will ever catch it again. I took this picture yesterday, when her rash was at it's worst. My baby girl had a rash on most of her body, but would still "cheese" for her camera-happy mommy! What a sweetie!

Tinkle, tinkle little star...
This story should have been with the last post...
A few moments after I completed my posts last night, Cheyenne and I were in the bathroom. After she finished her "business" she started to sing..." I tinkled. I tinkled...just like the little star!!!".
Is she a nut or what???

Out of the mouth of babes...
I have two new funny stories I wanted to share with you guys:
To Bad, so sad...
I have a terrible habit of saying " To bad, so sad" while Cheyenne is having a fit for not getting her way. I should have known that it would come back around to me one day---never did I guess it would come back around to Bryan! While we were rushing around one morning trying to get ready to go to town, I was calling Cheyenne to join me in the bathroom to get her hair brushed. After a few calls and no response Bryan headed to the living room to "motivate" her! Once he found her he said " Don't you hear your Mommy calling you. Go to the bathroom and get your hair brushed! Now!" With out skipping a beat she quickly responded " To bad, so sad!!". I could hear this conversation. I thought for sure those would be her last words and it was all my fault! Fortunately her daddy was a sucker for her smart come back, and continued to direct her to the bathroom---with a hidden smile on his face.
Deer poop...
A few weeks ago, while in the middle of story time at the library. All of the other kids were sitting still and quite, listening to the story. Cheyenne was sitting "Indian style" on the floor when something on the bottom of her shoe caught her eye. After a few seconds of examination, she blurted out " Mommy, is that DEER POOP on my shoe?"!! At this point I am sure she got a shock out of the other story time participants---but nothing she says shocks me anymore!!

Watching the snow fall!
These were taken shortly after Cheyenne woke up this morning. Unfortunately the snow can not be seen in these pics, but it was really coming down for a while. Still no snow stuck to the ground. Cheyenne is so anxious to play in the snow!! Forecast calls for a good snow tomorrow---maybe she will get her wish then:) Stay tuned for more "wintery" pics!
Trimming out the tree...
We finally decorated the tree. Cheyenne had fun "playing" with her ornaments---after getting frustrated because they would not hang right where she wanted them too. She is such a nut! Here are a few pics:
Cheyenne, about to attack the ornaments!!
This is Cheyenne with all of the ornaments given to her---some from before she was even born:)

That's right...our tree is already up!!
For those of you who do not know...OUR FAMILY LOVES CHRISTMAS! It is in my opinion the most important holiday of the year. It has always been family "tree-dition" to put up and decorate our tree on Thanksgiving, but since I will be helping the family decorate Mom's tree this year in Florida ( Yay! ...11 1/2 more days, Mom!) we decide to go ahead and put our tree up before the trip. We have not put any ornaments on it yet, but here it is...

Back at the library...
We have not been to story time in about three weeks, so Cheyenne was so excited to be back! We read some stories about farms and made a farm animal bracelet! After story time Cheyenne and her library friend, Nina, headed outside to check out the new LION in front of the library!

Another busy week in Va!
It was a busy week, but a fun one too! I have been planning and getting ready for our church's Fall Festival that was this past Friday night, and if that wasn't enough excitement on it's own, Friday was also the Grand Opening of our new 317underground youth center! Early Tuesday morning I received a wonderful surprise... a visit from one of my very best girlfriends, Brandi and her family!!! After all of our sad news in the past two weeks it was so nice to have such a fun-filled week and our best friends here to share it with. Here are a few pics:
